[WP] Struggling To Remember What Led Up To This Moment, You Wake Up In Some Sort Of Operating Room. You Are Lying Naked On One Table, And On The Table Next To You Is An Unconscious Creature You Do Not Recognize.

Cold, freezing cold. Where's the blanket? I wondered, shivering on a hard metallic bed, if it could be called a bed at all.
Still shaking, I opened my eyes and gazed around in the dimly lit room, and I saw another bed just like mine. But the person—thing—on it was looking back at me. It was not humanoid. The face was bulging, the eyes bigger than a 25 foot squid. I could not see the rest of the body, for it was covered with a thin blanket like mine.
My throat wanted to scream, but I could not find the energy. My eyes locked with the thing, and I could not look away.
I struggled to remember why I was in this room, why I was here with this thing. Nothing came to my memory. My body continued to shiver, now both with the cold and fear. The fear sank so deep into my bones, and I started dry sobbing, unable to scream. My breaths came in short rasping breaths.
"It's okay, I won't hurt you."
